Yesterday evening was our 4th Pioneer Days Planning Meeting. We discussed the details of the Pioneer Days Parade, our official Pioneer Days Poster & Buttons Call for Art, and the schedule of events.
The application for the Pioneer Days Parade is now available at the Visitors Center and will be available online later this week. The Parade will begin at Splitrock and Hwy 62 then east on 62, turning left at Adobe and heading North all the way to Sun Valley Dr. on Saturday, October 20, 2018, starting at 10 am. We are excited to announce that we will be implementing a competition component back into the parade. Please see the application for full details. We ask that you fill out your application(s) out as soon as possible and return them complete with the entry payment.
We are officially announcing the Call for Art: Pioneer Days Poster & Button, in our newsletter today. All local artists are invited to submit a 2D piece that they feel represents this year's theme "Fortune Favors the Bold". Please see our Pioneer Days page for more details.
