THEATRE 29 ANNOUNCES CASTING FOR “THE MURDER ROOM” BY JACK SHARKEY
The Murder Room is a fabulous mystery-farce concerning newlyweds Edgar and Mavis. One day after their wedding Edgar discovers that Mavis - a nasty piece of work - is being unfaithful. After her first attempt to kill him by poisoning his cocoa, Mavis resorts to shooting him and then returning to her secret lover. Chaos and complications ensue when it transpires that the shots were blanks and that Edgar's body has vanished!
Director Eddie Tucker is very pleased to have cast:
Chanelle DeMille as the young and beautiful but murderous Mavis Hollister.
Sean Bresach as wealthy Edgar Hollister, her new husband and intended murder victim.
Ashley Collins as Edgar’s cute but ditsy daughter Susan (who may actually be the sharpest knife in the drawer!).
Amy Fangmeyer as Susan’s brand-new American millionaire fiancé, Barry Draper.
And cast in the role of Police Inspector James Crandall is Theatre 29 favorite Kevin Meyers.
The Murder Room will run weekends from April 26, 2019 through May 12, 2019, Friday and Saturday nights at 7:00 pm. Matinee performances will be held at 2:30 pm on Sundays.
Tickets for all performances of “THE MURDER ROOM” are available for purchase now at www.theatre29.org, or by calling the Theatre 29 Box Office at 760-361-4151. Tickets are $15.00 Regular, $12.00 Seniors and Military, and $10.00 for Students with ID or children under 12.
Recommended For ages 10 and over, THE MURDER ROOM is a comedic whodunnit (well, more of a who almost dunnit) murder mystery spoof. Language and content should be acceptable to all audiences.
Theatre 29 is an all-volunteer, non-profit 501(c)3, Community Theater organization. It is located at 73637 Sullivan Road in the City of Twentynine Palms.
