Kim and David Clements’ exhibition “Hi-Desert Highlights” is a photographic representation of the rich landscape and wildlife found in the unique surroundings of the high desert area. As animal lovers, the couple is drawn to the constant entertainment of the wildlife in Joshua Tree National Park. Their photographs express the beauty of the area and personalities of the animals who live in it.
Warner Graves’ exhibition “Back to the Canyons” is a series of oil paintings that bridge traditional desert landscape painting with explorations in contemporary art. With elements of abstraction and the energy of light, wind, sun and repetitive patterns, Graves’ paintings challenge the viewer to experience the natural world not as a static form, but as a living entity.
The week following the art exhibition opening, the gallery will hold its annual holiday sale featuring paintings, greeting cards, jewelry, quilted projects, wood creations, hats, bags, ceramics, ornaments and more. Visit the gallery Dec. 8 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. to shop for unique gifts from desert artists.
