Greetings to our partners in business and the Twentynine Palms Community!
It is with great excitement and anticipation that I take the helm as President of the Chamber of Commerce and set the direction (with your help) for the coming year. I appreciate the confidence that the past president, Jacob Smith, and the board, has shown in me.
I found this definition of the Chamber of Commerce,
“A Chamber of Commerce is a form of business network, e.g., a local organization of businesses whose goal is to further the interests of businesses. Business owners in towns and cities form these local societies to advocate on behalf of the business community.”
We only exist to further the interest of business. I know as a business owner, that in this competitive environment, we can’t be content, we must focus on economic growth, that rewards us with improved well-being socially and in our community. Our goal is to help you succeed. When we as businesses succeed, so does the community. We will be advocates for you.
We will also be out to visit you and to hear what you would like to do as a “business network”. It won’t happen overnight, but I ask that you give us a chance to work for you. We are excited to visit other successful Chambers for cities our size and larger. I don’t believe in re-inventing the wheel, but want to “tweak” the best of the successful models so they can work for us.
Together we can make Twentynine Palms the best city to work, live and visit.
