President's Message (from the Chamber newsletter)

August 2010

our last meeting Thursday July 15, 2010.

A big welcome to Office Supplies Plus, Holiday Inn Express, Itsustrades Boxes, Paychex Brenda's Paw Spa, Van Dyke Corporation and Travelodge Inn & Suites.

I would like to thank Director Bob Whitt for his continued work on growing our Chamber membership. Bob is the Chairperson for our Membership development. He volunteers a lot of his time in talking to possible future members of the Twentynine Palms Chamber of Commerce.

At our first meeting of the full Board of Directors under the new Executive Board, we have slated August for our strategy planning session for the coming year.

The Strategic Planning is an annual event where all board members take one day to pull together and review past events and practices and develop the agenda for 2010-2011. The session will also review and plan the budget for the coming year and any other items that may be brought to the board for review.

Any Twentynine Palms Chamber member who has any ideas or suggestions for the Strategy Session can put them in writing and leave them at the front desk of the New Chamber Offices. Samantha McCrory will see that Executive Director Rob Fleck present them to the board during our retreat. Please make sure all ideas and suggestions are submitted by no later than 5 p.m. Thursday August, 5, 2010.
