January Member of the Month: Base Runner

Base Runner was started in April of 2010, by Dana Champ, a commercial driver by profession, when she saw the need to provide an economical, less time consuming, method for the Marines attending the Communication Schools on Base, to get their uniforms to and from the dry cleaners. At the time, their only choice was to take a Taxi or a bus if they wanted to patronize off base facilities. The response to the service was overwhelmingly positive and quickly grew to include food, and small package delivery, as the Marines made their needs and wants known.

Base Runner Delivery Service provides the Marines on base, the opportunity to experience all that Twenty-nine Palms and its surrounding communities have to offer, and more money in their pockets to spend in those locally owned and operated business. In turn, Base Runner Delivery Service promotes the locally owned business to expand their customer base, by displaying their logos on its vehicles, which travel on and off the base multiple times each day,

Base Runner offers their delivery services for a nominal fee of $10.00. There is an additional $10 charge for each zip code the delivery passes through to deliver the goods. For example: if you live in Twenty-nine Palms and are craving a meal from your favorite eatery in Yucca Valley a  delivery charge of $30 would be added to your food order.  So get 4 or five of your friends together and split the cost of the delivery.

Base Runner operates 7 days a week from 10AM until 8PM. They accept cash and all major credit cards. There is a $1.00 credit card processing fee

You can text, or call to place your order to 760 910-4159. Once your order is received, you will receive a confirming text and be given an eta.
